Abstract: An enhanced DCTalgorithmwith real-time characteristics is put forward; and a coding algorithm of high quality is obtained by combining the enhanced DCT and a hybrid filter-bank. The proposed coding algorithm improves the adaptability of the filtering transform block length, the filtering properties produced bywhich are more analogous to that of humans’ears.
