Abstract: Fuzzy logic was applied to the feed-forward control of the ventilation system of a long highway tunnel to save electric energy and effectively solve the problems of the traditional control methods, such as time lag and fans frequent start-up. The constitution of the feed-forward intelligent fuzzy logic control system was presented, the fuzzy logic controllerwas designed particularly, and the feed-forward intelligent fuzzy logic control system was simulated numerically. The results indicate tha,t comparedwith the traditional feed-back controlmethod, this system can decrease energy consumption and extend the service life of fans greatly in the same conditions.
