Abstract: From the characteristics of urban traffic flow, the principal component analysis(PCA) was applied to analyzing the dependency of urban intersections, and the corresponding model and algorithm were proposed. Through the analysis of historic data of traffic flow in twenty intersections in Beijing City, as an example, the dependency of these intersections was obtained. As a result, the research offers a reference for the intelligent control of traffic signals and the guidance of vehicles .
