Experimental Study on Explosive Technology to Prepare Hydroxyapatite Coating on Titanium

  • Hydroxyapatite (HA) coating on titaniumwas prepared by. Explosive temperature, pressure and velocitywere obtained with thermodynamics and the detonation wave theory, and the experimental results were also analyzed with the detonation wave theory. Because of curvisurface wave, the coating was not uniform, and there was distortion on the workpieces. Only the Al-HA composite coating was comparatively uniform. The explosive technology provides a newway to prepare stable hydroxyapatite coating on titanium
