In combination with the stability problem of a large-scale underground power station under construction,
computation and analysis are carried out for schemes with different combinations of physical parameters of rock (e.g.,
elastic modulusE, Poisson ratioμ, cohesive forceCand friction angle of the rockφ) by elasto-plastic theory and
numerical simulation. The influencing degrees of these rock parameters on the stability of the underground chambers
are obtained by employing three dimensional nonlinear finite element method, providing a valuable reference for the
survey and design and field construction of underground engineering.
