Applicable Scope and Prospect of Tilting Train on Railways in China

Abstract

Abstract

This paper discusses the way of rising passenger train speed first, then analyzes the effect of rising speed with tilting train. According to the maximumspeed, the existing railways are divided into three types. Influences on track capacity, transportation cost and advantages of rising speed with tilting train on each type of railway are calculated. Finally, the conclusion about the applicable scope and prospect of tilting train on railways in China is derived.
