Dynamic Analysis for Bogies of Locomotive Driving Tilting Train

Curve negotiating performance of driving bogies with two or three axles, and with traditional or self-steeringwheel sets are analyzed in this article in order to prove the bogie concepts for the first prototype tilting train in China. It shows that two-axis bogie without steering wheel sets or three-axis bogie with steering mechanism both meet the increased curve negotiation speed requirements for tilting trains.
