The Design and Structural Optimization of a Self-Steering Radial Bogie for Tilting Train

  • The selection of the tilting passenger train bogie is discussed in this paper. Aradial bogie that is suitable to tilting train is introduced, in which the bogie is a self-steering radial bogie, and the tilting mechanism of the car is composed of four swing bars and an electromechanical actuator. The optimization of the major parts such as the frame and tilting bolster of the bogie is also studied.
