Study on the Purification of Reclaimed Acid with Sedimentation-Absorption Method

Based on the detailed analyses of the characteristics and composition of refined benzene reclaimed acid produced in Pangang coke plant, and based on the comparative study of present purification methods, a new purification method, sedimentation and absorption method, is proposed. The newmethod is easy to operate and its technical process is simple. Also, the reaction condition, dosage and reclamation of the mixed precipitant and absorbent are studied in detail. Experimental results show that pure sulfuric acid used in common industrial productions can be reclaimed with this method, and good economic and environmental benefits can be achieved.
