Abstract: The spatial couplingmodel forrailwayturnoutsystem is improved inwhichthe vertical and lateral structure irregularities of turnouts and the variation ofwheel/rail contact geometry are taken into account. It is used to simulate the body hunting of trains and to analyze the running stability and safety of trains on turnouts.
