Abstract: To meet the requirement of dam safety in hydroelectric power stations, a kind of optical fiber sensors was designed based on the optical heterodyne technique, and its properties were tested. The test result shows that the measure precision of this kind of optical fiber sensors can reach to 50 nmso as tomeet the requirement of dam deformation monitoring.
