Abstract: Based on the natural stable angles on the banks of Yesan river determined with an empirical formula, bridge foundation sites are selected preliminarily. Then the maximum principal stress of the slope rock is simulated under loading of the foundations at different positions, the influencing ranges of stresses are analyzed, and the rock mass strength of the slopes is analyzed by use of Mohr strength theory. Finally, the rational positions of the bridge foundations are determined.
