An introduction is made to the method and techniques of calculating the post transportation
quantity and load turnover when a computer management information system is applied to the postal
transportation. Using the Winter multiplication method, a prediction model for transportation quantity is
built for provincial postal transportation enterprises. Then, a study of the self-adapting correction technique
of this model is made fromthe aspect of practical application. Finally, the kernels of software design of the
prediction model are described, with a flow process diagram and a computational example presented.
