Water-gush is one of the major hazards in tunnels and other underground
engineering. Because the texture characteristics and the existing environment of fractured rock
are complex, it is difficult to solve the problemofwater-gush in practice. In this paper, based
on an equivalent treatment on seepage of fractured rock mass and on theoretical and empirical
study, a definite mathematical model, hydrology numerical simulation method, is proposed for
predicting the water-gush yield of the deep buried fractured surrounding rock tunnel.
Meanwhile, the proposed mathematical model is verified through an example of tunnel
engineering.
