Air Traffic Flow Management by Use of Flight Routes and Aerodrome Areas as Nodes

  • Air traffic flowmanagement is a systematic programming management for solving air traffic jams. In this paper, by using flight routes and aerodrome areas as the nodes to control air traffic flows, an integer programming model of air traffic flowmanagement based on holding on ground is established. The effects of various constraints are discussed overall in the model. A practical example proves the effectiveness of this model in solving air traffic jams.
