A novel soft switch converter, active-clamp double-MOS forward converter, is
proposed in this paper. This kind of soft switch converter is developed by paralleling an active-
clamp network on the primary side of the transformer of a double-MOS converter, and the
active-clamp network is used to clamp the voltage across power switches, to demagnetize the
transformer and to achieve zero-voltage-turn-on of the power switches, etc. Detailed analysis
and simulation of the converter are performed, fromwhich some important results are obtained.
