Characteristics of Ferromagnetic Components in Excitation Inrush Simulation

  • A novel mathematical model for simulating the magnetic hysterisis characteristics of ferromagnetic components is introduced. The multi-valued magnetic hysterisis characteristics of the ferromagnetic components is simulated as a major magnetic hysterisis loop and a set of minor magnetic hysterisis loop trajectories. The majormagnetic hysterisis loop is represented by cubical splines, and the minor magnetic hysterisis loop trajectories are generated in terms of a simplified vertical nonlinear displacement of the inversion point from the major loop.
