The traffic problem of large-scale public buildings in urban planning is studied.
The working process of TIA (traffic impact analysis) of the large-scale public building is
given. The scope of traffic impact is determined, and the constitution and forecastingmodel of
traffic generation are discussed. Then, the traffic organization pattern of large-scale public
buildings is studied. The feasibility and effectiveness of the method are demonstrated with a
practical example. Bymeans ofTIA, the impactof sudden increase in traffic volume caused by
large-scale public buildings on the local traffic network at this place can be decreased to the
minimum.
