According tothe principle of filterbanks of shorttime Fouriertransform, various 50 Hz band pass filters modulated with different windows are studied, and their performances in extracting fundamental components among corrupted fault signals in HV transmission lines are compared. Then, a practical 50 Hz band pass filter is proposed, which is modulated with one cycle Bartlettwindow and in performances better than the classical filters adopting one cyclic Fourier algorithm.
