Fatigue Test of Connection between Floor Beams and Monolithic Joints

  • The full-scale fatigue test of connection structure details between floor beams and monolithic joints was carried out on the Caiyuanba Yangtze River bridge in Chongqing.Based on a finite element analysis,the test joints were selected,and the maximum and minimum fatigue loads were determined to be 660 and 50kN respectively.The test shows that no crack occurs in the model surface after two million time fatigue loadings and actual stress amplitude is 31.33MPa.The research shows that in the service life of this bridge structure,all the connection structure details between its floor beams and monolithic joints do not crack due to fatigue,so its fatigue strength meets the requirement.
