A parametrical non-linear finite element model for mono-strand anchors was established. The
influence of cone angle on the mechanical characteristics including deformation and stress distribution was
analyzed, and a newwayto determine the optimum cone angle, parametrization design by usingFEM(finite
elementmethod) was proposed. The research shows that when cone angle is less than some value, its
increase will decrease the deformation of an anchor and raise its field load greatly, and for a mono-strand
anchor, reasonable cone angle varies from 6.5°to 7.5°.
