Based on the Bingham resilience model, the control strategy of using magnetorheological dampers for
structural vibration reduction was investigated. An improved control strategy and its mathematical model were proposed
by considering the character of the dampers, and its simplified solution method was given. To verify the efficiency of
the proposed strategy, a computer program was written and used for the simulation of an actual project. The simulative
result shows that compared with the existing control strategy, the proposed control strategy has a better result and
stability.
